We are always happy to have members of the greater community participate at Heron Botanicals. There are a myriad of ways in which you can get involved:

Volunteer Opportunities:

During peak harvest season (spring, summer and fall) we are all hands on deck at the garbling station (where we clean our incoming raw materials by hand) and welcome volunteers to work alongside our professional herbalists. No experience necessary! Whether you're on the hunt for an introduction to herbs or direct, hands-on experince with a particular species, please feel free to reach out here for information about garbling. Please note that in most cases garbling occurs outside, regardless of weather conditions. Before considering volunteering, please evaluate your desire to stand outside and play with plants all day.

Internship Opportunities:

We are proud to offer herb students the opportunity to expand their experiential knowledge base and practice newfound skills. You can request information about our internship program here. Be advised, these positions are volulnteer and they are determined by our needs and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are considering an internship at Heron Botanicals, understand that due to the level of training involved we require students to commit to 6-8 hours a week for a minimum of one semester.

Employment Opportunities:

Join our Sourcing Network: Are you an organic farmer or wildcrafting herbalist interested in joining our network of sources? To get more information, please direct your inquiries here. Please be sure to tell us where you are located and about any previous experience you may have as a commercial raw botanicals supplier. Additionally, let us know why you think we'd be a good fit for one another.

Employment at Heron Botanicals: Currently, there are no open positions. Available positions will be announced here.
